CargoWater was created by a group of mariners who started sharing information between one another working in different roles and organisations and soon realised the scale for standardisation of datasets within the maritime industry. It was also clear that standardisation is only possible if the data is adopted by all. The team now consists of data analysts who co-ordinate and collect all the datasets, vet it and maintain them in a ready to use database.
